  5. The Demand Forecasting system is designed as a tool to assist management in
  6. providing a reliable estimate of future sales by item and by time period for
  7. use in marketing, materials management, inventory management, purchasing,
  8. budgeting and many other business processes both domestically and worldwide.
  9. The system, with the ability to forecast from one to six levels, generates a
  10. statistical projection of past demand and allows management to produce a
  11. forecast that combines analysis of demand history with anticipated changes and
  12. new demand factors.  Additional capabilities of Demand Forecasting include
  13. optimum model selection, forecast adjustments with an on-line user interface,
  14. tools for new product introduction, mass change, multilevel security,
  15. exception and performance reporting, interactive graphics, adaptive smoothing
  16. for forecast updates, user notepad and external factor usage.  The system can
  17. stand alone or be interfaced with our Inventory Planning module.
